I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with poor service and total inconvenience I experienced. I’ve been a customer since 2008 and until now was satisfied with the products and service received. I recently moved from Charlotte, NC where I first found ZGallerie, back to the Washington DC area, for a new job opportunity.

Moving as you know is extremely stressful especially across states. For this move, I decided to start over with new furniture and decided purchase all of my furniture and accessories from ZGallerie. I went online and saw the items that I wanted, and I saw the offer for the ZGallerie Credit Card. I don’t generally do department store credit cards but, since it was interest free at the time, I took advantage of the opportunity. When I applied for the card, I was approved for a $8500 limit. I was preparing to move into my new place, and was anxious to make the purchases so that I could have furniture shortly after moving. I called your customer service to let them know that I was approved for a Zgallerie card and didn’t have the card yet, but wanted to know if there was a way for me to make my purchase anyway. I was informed that the store representative could look my credit card number up and I could show my ID, and I did.

I spent quite a few hours with the manager, picking out furniture and accessories for each room, and I placed an order. After weeks of waiting for the furniture, I was told after my third call to Zgallerie customer service to check on the status of my orders that my order was being block due to fraud. I was then to told to call the bank that finances the Zgallerie credit card. I contacted the bank and was told that I needed to send a copy of my driver’s license, and my social security card to a PO Box, and they would validate my identity, but was never informed why i need to do so.

I understand that they are requesting this information because of processes within that bank, however, I am very uncomfortable sending my personal documents via mail to a PO box that I have no idea who will obtain this. What upsets me the most about this situation, is that no one notified me that I would not have a bed to sleep in, a table to eat at, or a sofa to sit on due to this situation. In addition, your representatives checked my ID in the store, so what is the problem?

In addition, I made accessory purchases online with the same card number, and half of those items were shipped fine and the other half of the items were cancelled by Zgallerie. However, they never reimbursed me for the $900 of remaining order. The entire experience including the accessory pick-up at the Tyson’s store was a disaster. When I arrived they had put my items back in stock, even though I informed them that I was going pick my order up 10 days after the arrival to the store and I was told that it was fine. I had to wait 2.5 hours (during my work hours) for them to find and wrap my items at the store, and when I arrived home two of my goblets weren’t in the bag. I contacted the Tyson’s store the next day to inform the representative that Michelle missed 2 goblets, although I was charged for the glasses. I was informed that I’d receive a call back with a resolution, but never heard back ever!

Now here I am, having to start over and find somewhere else to find a bed to sleep on, as I sleep on the floor, and a sofa to sit on, as I sit on the floor, and a table to eat on as I have to stand to eat. Since, I cant receive my items , I’ve had to cancel a large order, and I’ve paid off the $1500, I used on the credit card, as I will not be mailing my personal documents to a P.O. Box.

I have referred a good number of my friends to Zgallerie over the years, and I have a customer base of 30,000 individuals who read my ‘Talk of the Town’ lifestyle newsletter, who I will be sharing this experience with, as poor customer service, and inconvenience of this nature needs to be shared so that others won’t have to go through what I am.

Totally inconvenienced and totally unhappy with this experience.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $8500.

Preferred solution: Full refund.
